SVS SB-1000 Subwoofer
Small subwoofer cabinets are not conducive to big bass, which presented a challenge for SVS engineers when designing the SB-1000 and its compact 13x13x13-inch enclosure. Refusing to sacrifice performance for size, SVS engineers threw out preconceived notions and designed a subwoofer with massive output and remarkable low frequency extension, especially relative to its size and price. All without sacrificing accuracy, detail, and musicality.
At first glance, it’s easy to underestimate the impact of the SB-1000 subwoofer based on size alone. But when it erupts to life with deep and hard-hitting bass, there’s no mistaking it’s a bona fide, high performance subwoofer.
Combining powerful, window-rattling bass, with room-friendly dimensions, the SVS SB-1000 Classic strikes the perfect compromise.
Classic bass that you can feel
Packing a combination of a long-throw 12-inch woofer with a 300-watt amp gives the SB-1000 Classic bass extension that you can physically feel. This low level frequency response gets the best out of soundtracks, involving you more than ever with the action. With the response ping right down to 26Hz, everything from thunderous aircraft to a stadium rock concert sound more lifelike than ever.
Smoothly integrated sound
Despite its bass punch, the SB-1000 Classic is unobtrusive when needed. A powerful magnet and well-ventilated chassis means that the woofer can move with speed and precision. This prevents a boomy bass from spoiling both music and soundtracks. The bass is there – but only when it should be.
Compact SVS design
As SVS’s lead-in model, the SB-1000 Classic is compact and room-friendly. Without the need to worry about blocking a port outlet, the sealed cabinet is easy to position. Considering the 12-inch woofer, the cabinet is as small as is possible, with rounded edges to further reduce the visual bulk.
Built to stand the test of time
Featuring a robust, MDF cabinet, the SB-1000 Classic not only provides resonance-free, low distortion sound but is also built to last. The classic black finish provides a neutral setting to blend in with most TVs and other speakers. A fabric grille is also supplied, keeping the woofer protected when needed.
