The Direkt Premium is a large two-way system designed for high efficiency and outstanding dynamic range, ensuring an immersive audio experience.
PREMIUM LOOK AND FEEL
The Direkt Premium loudspeaker has a look inspried by the 70's with its two-tone cabinet: an elegant black or white silky matte lacquer finish combined with a real walnut wood inlay on the front panel. The corners of the cabinet are rounded for a more sophisticated look, and the cabinet itself is angled at 6° to optimize the direction of sound towards the user. Removable protective covers can be easily fitted to the woofers and tweeters thanks to an invisible magnetic fastening system.
HECO WOOFER WITH KRAFT PAPER CONE
The bass and midrange frequencies are driven by an unusually large bass-midrange driver, perfectly complementing the high-efficiency tweeter. This combination offers the dynamic range and bass depth of a larger floorstanding speaker, while preserving the pinpoint imaging and clarity typical of a high-end two-way system. The woofer features a specially optimized kraft paper cone, known for its natural tonal quality and lightweight structure, enabling quick, precise movements for better sound accuracy. The lightweight fabric dust dome and low-loss rubber surround further enhance its performance, while the robust voice coil is securely housed in a die-cast aluminum basket for maximum durability. A refined silk-gloss black finish on the tweeter flange and woofer mounting ring adds a subtle touch of luxury to the overall design.
PREMIUM CROSSOVER
The speaker’s crossover network is meticulously engineered for phase-optimized frequency distribution, ensuring seamless transitions between the tweeter and woofer. High-quality, close-tolerance components are utilized to guarantee long-term reliability and consistent performance. Special attention has been brought to the internal cabling, featuring extremely low-impedance oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductors in the bass section for distortion-free delivery of even the most demanding frequencies. Additionally, the tweeter is connected using a unique twisted-pair cable with low inductance, further enhancing the clarity and precision of high-frequency reproduction. For additional customization, the tweeter’s level can be adjusted using the ‘Linear’ or ‘+2dB’ setting at the terminal, allowing users to finetune the high frequencies to their preference or room acoustics. The connection terminals are built to the highest standards, featuring gold-plated and encapsulated screw terminals that ensure secure, corrosion-free connections. The speaker also supports a three-way cable connection, offering greater flexibility in system setup. For audiophiles looking to push performance further, the option for bi-wiring or biamping is available, enabling separate amplification for the tweeter and woofer for an even purer sound.
A SOLID CABINET
The cabinet of this speaker is generously sized at 78 liters, a deliberate choice to optimize air management to enhance overall bass response. This larger volume optimizes airflow, particularly through the reflex ports, which are designed with specific shapes to maximize acoustic performance. The down-firing application of these ports further contributes to a richer, fuller sound with deeper bass. Inside the cabinet, internal bracing has been carefully designed to minimize vibrations and resonances, ensuring that sound remains clear and undistorted, even at high volumes. The cabinet itself is constructed from sturdy MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), a material known for its durability and acoustic properties, offering both a solid foundation and a neutral tonal characteristic.
HECO FLUKTUS TWEETER
At the heart of the speaker’s high-frequency performance is the Heco Fluktus tweeter with a 28mm silk compound dome to deliver smooth, detailed treble frequencies without harshness. The front panel of the tweeter is crafted from all-aluminum, which not only adds a touch of sophistication but also serves to enhance acoustic performance. The Fluktus Wave Control horn geometry, combined with a powerful double-magnet system, ensures precise control over sound dispersion, creating an expansive and welldefined soundstage that envelops the listener.
SPECIAL FEET DESIGN
The base construction is an engineering feat on its own, featuring an all-metal structure with a three-point bearing system for perfect weight distribution and absolute stability. Additionally, the speaker comes with replaceable metal or rubber spikes, allowing it to adapt to different floor types while maintaining a stable, resonance-free foundation.
