Modern flat-screen televisions are successfully delivering ever larger and more perfect pictures. Sadly their capabilities in reproducing convincing sound are less advanced because the shallower screens don't allow for serious speakers to be included.

Magnat has no come up with a great sounding alternative to the typical fully active plug-and-play surround solution- the WSB Soundbar system. Both systems in a range use the same basic configuration consisting of just one Soundbar speaker and the wireless sub-woofer - which may be placed anywhere in the room. Even the smaller WSB 45 system delivers effective surround sound from just one space-saving box. However, there's more to this box than meets the eye: a total of six loudspeakers, including a genuine tweeter dome, are powered by amplifiers that deliver a total performance of 50 watts. Just connect it to an existing DVD player or TV for instant pleasure. It won't detract from the living room's ambience because the elegant WSB 45 uses a subtle black design highlighted by the front with a blue backlit display showing information about the key functions. The integrated Dolby digital circuitry decodes and processes the incoming signals and then passes them on to the actively controlled loudspeakers. After their delay & output levels have been set, the signals from the two rear channels are added to the front channels to produce an all enompassing sound via precisely calculated angles of dispersion and reflection, a feat that can only ussually be achieved with five discrete speakers. Furthermore, users may then choose between a more direct sound or the particularly spatial "3D" setting.
Deep bass is delivered by an 125-watt wireless active sub-woofer with 20-cm bass driver. This increases the WSB 45's overall system performance to 225 watts. These relex loaded sub-woofer feature the uncompromising "down firing" bass alignment used in Magnat's highest quality subwoofers. The WSB subwoofers may be positioned anywhere in the room but they are actually too good looking to hide. The quality of the piano-finished fronts and the clear language of their design will convience even the most fastidious living-room aesthetes. The remote control allows the system to be fully controlled from the comfort of the sofa. The display shows the currently selected functions. A variety of cables for simple connection to the TV and a practical system for fastening the Soundbar to the wall are also included. Further refinements are incorporated in the flagship WSB 50 Pro.
