The Magnat VC2 is a fully equipped home cinema system which combines the best sound and picture quality with simple operation and compact dimensions. A real three-dimensional surround sound is produced from two speakers instead of five thanks to Dolby Virtual Speaker Processing.

The VC2 system combines a DVD/CD player, amplifier and an RDS FM/AM tuner in one enclosure. Its digital, three channel amplifier generates a total of 200 watts of clean power and supplies the two satellite speakers that are responsible for the surround sound, along with a subwoofer which responsible for reproducing the low frequencies.

An elaborate sound control unit is provided to enable adaption to varying acoustic environments and personal preferences. It is possible to optimise the satellite speakers for wall or shelf-mounting and to configure additional individual acoustic settings. Switchable settings for music, film and audio books can also be applied. The digital switched mode power supply consumes only a tiny amount of electricity when in its 'standby' mode.

The DVD/CD drive features a Sanyo pickup and Zoran audio/video processor delivering a superb, sharp picture. It is fully HD compatible (1080P). The Superhet FM/AM tuner features an RDS/radio text function and it produces a clear and low-noise reception. The unit has a variety of analogue and digital audio inputs including a front USB and a 3.5 mm universal input. The on-screen menu has been designed in a particularly clear and concise manner to ensure high ease of use. A full function remote control is also included. The solid aluminium front panel of the VC2 head unit together with the lacquered piano black side panels impart a real sense of quality.

The VC2 satellite speakers, which come in a matching high gloss piano black finish, are particularly notable for the care taken in their development. Despite their diminutive size, three drivers are incorporated. Twin bass-midrange speakers with fibre cones and shielded double magnets operate in conjunction with the fabric dome tweeter covering the highest frequency ranges. The subwoofer provided augments this with its 210 mm high-performance driver and bass reflex loading. All of the speaker enclosures are manufactured from E1-MDF. This material is renowned for its excellent acoustic properties.

The speaker terminals are equipped with gold-plated contacts to ensure the perfect connection between amplifier and speaker. A speaker leads and an RCA audio/video cable are supplied to enable rapid installation of the Magnat VC2 system.
